MISSION
STATEMENT
of
The
Green Party of Sedona and the Verde Valley
The Green
Party of Sedona and the Verde Valley is resolved to reinvent,
reform, and create a Government of the People, by the People,
and for the People. We are resolved to form a Government that
creates and builds consensus among all factions of the electorate.
We are further resolved to move beyond and transcend the outmoded
"win-lose" adversarial single-issue politics of exclusion
as currently practiced.
We believe
that open and honest communication with all of the Electorate
is essential to operate and maintain a meaningful representative
democracy,
We believe
that the role of government is to provide stewardship of the
environment, the natural resources, the land, the community,
and the interconnected relationships which create a balanced
and stable eco-system.
We believe
that the Quality of Life should be the primary focus of government,
and that we are all connected to each other's welfare and well
being forming a "whole" community and society.
We are
dedicated to living in Respectful Peace and Harmony with all
individuals that inhabit our community, with all species that
inhabit our environment, with all life forms both organic and
inorganic that are part of the intricate and fragile Web of Life.
We are
dedicated to preserving open land and spaces for the respectful
use and enjoyment of all members of the Earth's ecosystem.
We are
dedicated to living and growing within the limits and parameters
imposed by our present knowledge of Human technology and our
understanding of both our natural and societal environment. |
